16 Days - 14 Nights from Antalya

1. Day Departure to Turkey

2. Day Arrival in Antalya
Upon your arrival in the Mediterranean resort town of Antalya, you are met with a friendly 'merhaba' (hello) and escorted to your hotel. You have the day free to begin exploring Antalya or to relax at your leisure. Learn more about the cultural adventure ahead of you at an orientation meeting at 7pm. During dinner get acquainted with the other members of your group.

3. Day Termessos / Antalya
Alexander the Great may have been daunted by its natural fortifications, but you won't bypass the chance to explore Termessos's agora, gymnasium and theater. The refreshing coolness of the site of Termessos makes a delightful change after the heat of the coastal plain. Return to Antalya and enjoy the old harbor and the Kaleici Museum.

4. Day Antalya / Phaselis / Kalkan
En route to Kalkan visit the cities of Phaselis and Demre (Myra). During the 4th century A. D. , St Nicholas of Patara, later to be known as Santa Claus, was bishop of Myra. His tomb and a church dedicated to him are to be found here. If weather permits you may have a chance to visit the sunken city of Kekova. Kekova is an island an hour from Dalyanagzi by sea as well as the name of a whole ensemble of picturesque islands, numerous bays and ancient cities. These bays provide natural harbors in all seasons, and yachtsmen particularly enjoy exploring the unspoiled landscape. Kalekoy Castle offers a bird's-eye view of the bays, inlets, islands and colorful yachts sailing peacefully on the glassy water

5. Day Kalkan / Fethiye
Your morning is at leisure to enjoy the charming town of Kalkan as you please. Continue along the Mediterranean coastline to Xanthos where you can climb the steps of the theater with the wind and the goats as your only audience. Then lounge on one of Turkey's longest and widest beaches in Patara, the birthplace of St. Nicholas. Enjoy wandering through Fethiye with its Lycian sarcophagi in the middle of the town. You will stay overnight in Fethiye.

6. Day Fethiye / Bodrum
Boat trip to Dalyan with its Carian rock tombs. In the afternoon continue to Bodrum and indulge in a more international, bohemian experience enjoying the art, music and lively atmosphere. Here the sun sparkles off the white washed buildings, and a profusion of flowers are often in bloom. You will have two free days in Bodrum so make the most of this exhilarating city.

7. Day Bodrum
The day is free to enjoy as you choose. If exploration is what you desire this is your chance to see the retrieved sunken remains in the Museum of Underwater Archeology or the Castle of St. Peter built in 1402 with stones from the tomb of King Mausolos. If you see relaxation in your future make the most of this beautiful holiday resort by doing the least amount of anything on these days – lounging on the beach, swimming in the Turquoise waters and maybe, for the more adventurous, a little scuba diving. Whatever your activities make sure to conserve some of your energy for the evening festivities. Stroll the beautiful streets to shop at the boutiques or for paintings on street corners. Outdoor coffee houses and seafood restaurants line the harbor, so you never have to go far in search of sustenance. Don't hold back on dessert and why not have your coffee grounds read to help you decide where to go dancing? The dancing usually doesn't begin until midnight, so you have plenty of time to decide

8. Day Bodrum
Continue your leisure time in Bodrum. Why not explore the theatre? Situated in the hillside over looking Bodrum this theatre whose capacity is around 13. 000 was built during the Carian reign in the Hellenistic age (330 - 30 BC). Another witness to the great past of Bodrum is the Myndos gate, which located on the west side of Bodrum. This is one of the two entrances of ancient Halicarnassus. It was part of the town's wall. The gate is named after the place Myndos because it faces the ancient Myndos place (now Gümüslük).

9. Day Bodrum / Aphrodisias / Pamukkale
Drive to Aphrodisias known for its sculpture school. Continue to Pamukkale in the afternoon.

10. Day Pamukkale / Sardis / Izmir
Enjoy the beauty of Pamukkale's immense tiers of white limestone as they cascade down a barren hillside. Visit the nearby Roman theater and necropolis. Continue to Izmir, where you will explore the remains of Sardis where King Croesseus of Lydia resided. Also visit the Temple of Artemis, gymnasium and the synagogue.

11. Day Ephesus
Today you will discover Ephesus, which is a highlight of every trip to Turkey. Do make sure to walk the streets of the most complete city of antiquity in the world. Sit in the same theater where Paul preached and Roman dramas were performed. Every summer, during the International Izmir Festival, the theater is alive with the words, music and drama of contemporary performers in this ancient setting. Stroll past the Library of Celsius, the baths and the Temple of Hadrian. You'll also visit the house where the Virgin Mary spent her last days and a photo stop at the Temple of Artemis with the last remaining column indicating where one of the Seven Wonders of the World was.

12. Day Pergamum / Troy / Canakkale
Drive along the mythic coastline of the ""wine-dark"" Aegean Sea to ancient Pergamum, home to the famous physician, Galen. Stroll through the remains of the Asclepion, one of the foremost medical centers of ancient times, the library which once held 240, 000 scrolls, the Acropolis and the Trojaneum.
